On Wednesday morning, our school was invaded by what appeared to be an army of princesses and superheroes. Not the traditional ghouls and goblins, but many fairies, wizards, soldiers and officers trotted through the halls with gleeful grins. It was Halloween Day at Our Lady of Lourdes! During the month of December, the radio is filled with songs about St Nicholas. From the Beach Boys to Holly Jolly Christmas, everyone seems to be talking about him! In our faith, we remember St Nicholas as a third century bishop who was known for his extreme generosity. Celebrating All Saints Earlier this month, we celebrated the feast of All Saints Day, a holy day of obligation that honors all saints canonized in the Catholic Church.
