Yesterday, Valentines Day took Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School by storm! Flowers, chocolates, balloons, and candy hearts filled the desks and classrooms of students and teachers alike as we shared the gift of our love for one another. Each class celebrated in their own way, sharing acts of kindness and tokens of affection amongst themselves and with others in our community. In Kindergarten, students learned about the mail system in our country and wrote friendly letters to one another. Catholic School’s Week
Every year during the last week in January, Catholic Schools around the country observe Catholic Schools Week in celebration of our faith family. At OLL, Catholic Schools Week serves as a sort of Spirit Week with special activities each day. We hope you will join with us our celebration! Monday January 28: Buddy Day and Picnic! Buddy Day will include a special Open Air Lunch and Walk-a-Thon to benefit the Kimberly Home. Yesterday, our pre-Kindergarten students joined the rest of the student body at our Thursday School Mass for the very first time. Clinging tight to the hands of their 7th Grade “Buddies,” our littlest students tiptoed into the church and took their places in the right hand pews. After many practices of walking to the church, sitting quietly, kneeling, and rehearsing Mass responses, our EC4 students were more than ready to make their school Mass debut.
