Music

Mrs. Wong-Stark is the school music teacher for all grades from the early childhood education program through 8th grade.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Child Psychology from Carleton University, Ottawa Canada and is a  graduate of The Royal Conservatory of Music, University of Toronto (ARCT) in piano performance. 

MUSIC CURRICULUM

The music program is varied and unique. The program of instruction includes the integration of computer technology in music composition classes; a sequential curriculum on English handbells to teach music reading and writing, music theory and performance skills; sacred and secular choral literature; weekly choir preparation for childrens’ liturgies; liturgical dance; teaching sound recording and editing using software; musical theater with the primary and intermediate grades. Students participate chorally and instrumentally at childrens’ and parish events. The students have represented the school with music presentations at assisted living facilities, Eucharistic Day with Bishop Lynch and at the Blue Jays baseball game. “Make joyful music unto the Lord!”
