Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School is a faith-based educational community that provides a cohesive learning experience to children from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 8. The structure of our school allows students to grow up in a safe, nurturing environment where they are educated with programs designed to meet their individual learning needs. While standards and practices evolve as students grow from age 4 to age 14, they remain rooted in the faith expressed in our school’s mission and vision.
Learning and Growing Together in Faith
At Our Lady of Lourdes, our primary classes integrate technology and traditional practices to empower students with the ability to read. Through our integrated Language Arts curriculum, students master complex phonemes, blends, diphthongs and digraphs, learning to recognize letter patterns within words that enable them to not only decode sounds, but words and word meanings as well. Our primary teachers fuse phonics, sight words, and whole word reading – a dynamic approach that equips students with skills to work their way through higher level reading materials. The primary math programs at Our Lady of Lourdes integrate technology on a daily basis, applying kinesthetic techniques to virtual learning, stimulating the imagination while reinforcing learned mathematical concepts.
Critical thinking and problem solving skills are at the root of our Science and Social Studies curricula, which encourage students to work together towards common goals and collaborative learning forums.
Daily Religion classes prepare students for both the sacraments and life, building a foundational relationship with Christ, His people and His Church.
