Each year, the graduating class of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School collaborates to draft their “thank you letter” encompassing their thoughts and emotions surrounding graduation. This year’s letter speaks volumes about the maturity, integrity, and humility of our current eighth grade students. We are blessed to have had the opportunity to educate these exceptional students over the past ten years and look forward to watching their success as they further their academic careers at some of Pinellas County’s finest high schools.
Dear Teachers,
Thank you so much for guiding us through all of our years at OLL. We know we’re ready for high school thanks to you. You’re not only our teachers, you’re a part of our family. You helped us through the tough times. When we were lost, you guided us. When we were down, you loved us and cared about us every step of the way. You pushed us to succeed farther than we knew we could. We appreciate that because we realize it was for our own benefit.
Every day at school, we had a new goal to strive for. We always went home knowing that we learned something new and valuable. You’ve taught us to color inside the lines and think outside the box. We’ve learned to respect our religion and how to be a better Catholic. We’re thankful for all of the talents and gifts you’ve shown us we have. We’re ready for high school and to go into the bigger world. We have enjoyed our ten years here, and we will never forget it.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
The Eighth Grade
