During my time in college I met my wife Jennifer a Bradenton, FL native, we have a one year old son Mauer. We spend most of our free time chasing Mauer around the house and enjoying the beaches and any athletic event we have time to watch. We are parishioners at OLL and truly feel blessed to be a part of this wonderful parish community.
It is a true gift and I am grateful to work with such caring, nurturing faculty and staff as we have here at Our Lady of Lourdes. It is such a loving community and that is why I cherish being a part of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School and Parish Family. Our children are abundantly precious, faith-filled and intelligent. It is a joy to see their smiling faces each morning while getting to know our school families. In fact so much so that my husband, Tony, our daughter, Caroline and myself all entered the Church this Easter. Further, our marriage of 24 years is was blessed by Father Gary just prior to Easter Vigil on Saturday, March 26th! God has blessed us, indeed! We are all three, native Floridians. My husband and myself were both born at Tampa General Hospital (different years of course!). We love reading, history, cooking, dancing, travel, watching old movies, enjoying time with family, rooting for our favorite football teams (Bucs, Cowboys, Seminoles and Bulls), biking, walking and running the trail, and most of all spending time with our sweet Caroline, for whom we waited 19 years! I graduated from Dunedin High School. I studied dance from the age of three and later both taught and studied ballet, tap, jazz and modern disciplines while in college. I graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Humanities. While working in law offices after my undergraduate studies, for many years I also worked extensively in the not-for-profit sector. Go ‘Noles!

Hello! I am Alicia Gonzalez, the proud 2nd grade teacher of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School. I have been here at OLL for 5 years now, with a total of 9 years in teaching. I graduated from Loyola University in New Orleans and came to Clearwater with my family shortly after Hurricane Katrina. My philosophy of teaching extends from hands-on experiences to sharing the love of Jesus to my students. The most rewarding part of my career has been teaching and being witness to the growth in faith that my students and their families have experienced in the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. My 2 children have attended OLL for the past 3 years, and the extended family warmth and faith from the teachers and friendships made here at OLL have very much formed and nurtured them in precisely the ways my husband and I would have always wished for. As a teacher, I too have formed many beautiful friendships with the great families that belong to the OLL family. I truly feel this community to be my home away from home. At the moment, I am currently studying for my Master’s in Catholic Educational Leadership through St. Leo University. It is my aspiration to become part of the Administration and make an impact on my school community in the near future. I trust the Lord has great plans for me!
