Intermediate Enrichment

Classroom Extension

Enrichment opportunities are offered for all students in 3rd – 5th grade to enhance their understanding and excitement of subject material.

The goal behind the Intermediate Enrichment involves expanding the student concept of classroom learning.  This program takes students beyond textbooks and traditional teaching methods in the areas of Science and Social Studies and introduces them to creative experiential learning.  Students engage in technological, innovative projects that evoke their imaginations and cater to their kinesthetic learning needs.

Under guidance of instructors and counselors, students direct their own learning experiences based on their personal interests and curiosities.  Enrichment activities involve a variety of group sizes and project models, often allowing students to work in groups of two or three to demonstrate their understanding of content by building, designing, and creating.
