Mrs. Nan Nielsen Hong was born and raised in Southern California and has lived and worked all over the world.  She earned a BS in Business (with a minor in Psychology) from the University of Maryland and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction (with emphasis in multicultural education) from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.  She began her teaching career at the American Community School of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in 1997 and has been a member of the OLL faculty since 2008.  Mrs. Hong is Florida Certified in Elementary Education (K-6) and Social Science (5-9). 

	Class Note Title Week Starting Welcome to Sixth Grade!  06-14-2010 Happy Summer! Welcome to sixth grade -- and to MIDDLE SCHOOL!  I'm looking forward to a great year! There are a few things you should be doing over the summer ... keep reviewing your math facts, practice cursive, and read two books.  You'll find your summer reading assignment here -----> In addition to reviewing, practicing, and reading, enjoy your time off, spend time with your family, and stay safe!  Remember to keep God first and foremost in your life!  I always find it so interesting to attend Mass wherever I happen to be on vacation.
