Welcome to Art!  Art students receive a positive and motivating atmosphere that focuses on creativity and uniqueness.  Students learn about different artists, art styles, and a variety of mediums throughout the year.  This year in Humanities middle school students are enjoying learning about photography and famous photographers such as Ansel Adams and (my personal favorite) Andy Goldsworthy.

Students have many opportunities to show their work both in school and throughout the community.  Students also participate in both local and national contests.

Each year all students participate in our Catholic Schools Week Art Exhibit.  This exhibit is displayed late January and February.  This year's theme is "Catholic Schools Dividens for Life".  We will focus on faith, knowledge, discipline and morals when creating art for this show.

I am looking forward to our 2nd Annual Spring Art Auction on Friday, April 23.  Our first art auction was a lot of fun and a big success.  During the auction you can enjoy dinner, bid silently on a variety of items, participate in the live action and purchase children's art.  We will also be including a juried art exhibit for the first time this year.
